Norfolk 4 Days 2026

Four days, four courses, four completely different tests of golf — the 2026 Norfolk Tour served up an unforgettable week across some of East Anglia's finest venues. Fiery fairways, rapid greens, blazing sunshine, and even a 400-yard Longest Drive thrown in for good measure — this was a trip that had a bit of everything.

The Tour

Norfolk is a county that rewards the golfing traveller. From the classic links character of Sheringham on the north coast, to the elegant parkland of Dunston Hall, the modern championship layout at Royal Norwich, and the tree-lined tranquillity of Thetford — four venues, four distinct styles, one memorable week of golf.

Weather Conditions

The sun didn't stop shining all week. Very hot conditions across all four days, with beautiful blue skies overhead and a stiff breeze that made itself felt on most rounds — enough to make club selection genuinely tricky, particularly on the more exposed holes. Add in the dry ground bringing plenty of extra roll, and it was proper firm-and-fast summer golf from start to finish.

Tournament Highlights

Fiery fairways and rapid greens were the defining theme of the week — dry ground running the ball forever off the tee, and putting surfaces that demanded serious touch. Combined with the heat and breeze, it made for a real all-round test of golf.

The moment of the week, though, belonged to whoever pulled off the 400-yard Longest Drive — a proper rocket by anyone's standards, and the kind of tee shot people were still talking about days later.

Day 1 — Sheringham

The tour opened up on the beautiful north Norfolk coast at Sheringham, where the field got their first taste of firm and fast conditions.

Winners — Simon Chester & Alex Carter — 43 points
Runners-Up — Alastair Christmas & Gordon Dickson — 41 points

Special prize holes:

  • Longest Drive — 14th
  • Nearest the Pin — 6th, 8th, 11th, 15th

Day 2 — Dunston Hall

Day 2 saw the field move inland to Dunston Hall, where the scoring at the top of the leaderboard was as tight as it gets — two pairs finishing dead level on 43 points.

Winners — Spencer Thorpe & Marc Locke — 43 points
Runners-Up — Malcolm Gordon & Susan Gofton — 43 points

Special prize holes:

  • Longest Drive — 12th
  • Nearest the Pin — 4th, 9th, 14th, 18th

Day 3 — Royal Norwich

Royal Norwich produced the standout scoring performance of the trip. A brilliant 47 points from the winning pair — genuinely impressive golf on a championship layout in dry, breezy conditions.

Winners — Jamie Dyer & John Hussey — 47 points
Runners-Up — Stewart Maudsley & Judith Maudsley — 43 points

Special prize holes:

  • Longest Drive — 9th
  • Nearest the Pin — 2nd, 4th, 11th, 17th

Day 4 — Thetford

The tour wrapped up at Thetford, where the field got one last chance to make their mark on the week's leaderboard — and produced another close finish at the top.

Winners — Matthew Durose & Dean Franklin — 45 points
Runners-Up — Andrew Green & Wayne Porter — 44 points

  • Nearest the Pin — 1st, 3rd, 11th, 16th
