Longniddry 2025

Today we were hosted by Longniddry Golf Club on Scotland's golf coast. An interesting par 68 links course. Longniddry has no par 5s for the gents, but 8 par 4s over 400 yards. The original designer Harry Colt was also responsible for Pine Valley NJ.

The day was bright and sunny with a brisk wind and comfortable temperatures. Some of the par 4s felt a lot longer when hitting into that wind. Glenn Ferguson took the longest drive with a monster hit that managed to carry the hill on the 3rd and pick up pace. Mike O'Rourke hit his shot to within 2 ft on the 16th - picking up the NTP prize. On a day where there were only four "2s" recorded - he made 2 of them!

Many golfers finished the day with a bite to eat and a pint on the clubs beautiful sun-drenched patio.
