A proper test, but a genuinely enjoyable one — the kind of venue that makes every round feel like an occasion.

Weather Conditions

Clear blue skies all day, with a slight breeze rolling in during the afternoon. About as good as it gets — beautiful scoring conditions that let the course really shine, with just enough wind to keep things honest without making scoring impossible. The field made the most of it.

Memorable Moments

Best Dressed honours went to the pairing of Daniel Dodd and George Mudd — a properly turned-out pair and a worthy nod for bringing the look to match the occasion.

A brilliant day for the 2s pot too — a whopping 23 twos were made by golfers who had paid into the extra competition. Plenty of sharp iron play on show, and a healthy split of the pot to go around.

Tournament Highlights

A brilliant winning score of 46 points topped the leaderboard — anchored by a stunning front nine of 27 points from the winning father-and-son team of Alan and Mark Edwards. Going off like a rocket on a course of this calibre is no small feat, and it laid the perfect platform for a proper day at the top of the leaderboard.

Winners

Huge congratulations to Alan Edwards and Mark Edwards, who took the top spot with a superb 46 points. A brilliant round on one of England's finest heathland courses and a thoroughly deserved win — and a really special result for a father and son to share.

In the runners-up spot were Dean Hackett and Steve Morton with a strong 45 points — a fantastic effort right in the mix and a score that would have won plenty of other days.
