A Memorable First Visit to Guildford Golf Club

Our first visit to Guildford Golf Club proved to be a fantastic day from start to finish, with golfers enjoying a wonderful mix of challenging golf, stunning scenery, and warm hospitality.

Set amongst beautiful rolling countryside, the course offered a brilliant test for players throughout the field and received glowing feedback from everyone who joined us.

Weather & Conditions

The day certainly offered a bit of everything! Early on, conditions turned surprisingly bitter, with winter beanies making an appearance by mid-morning as temperatures dropped sharply.

Thankfully, by mid-afternoon the sun had fully arrived, transforming the course into a glorious setting for the later groups and creating perfect conditions to finish the day.

Tournament Highlights

One unforgettable moment came courtesy of Matt Tennant, who produced a brilliant hole-in-one on the 2nd hole. Unfortunately for Matt it didn’t happen on the charity hole — but that did little to take away from what was an incredible achievement and one of the standout moments of the day.

With the course playing beautifully and conditions improving throughout the afternoon, there was plenty of excellent golf and a fantastic atmosphere around the club all day long.

A Fantastic Debut at Guildford

Our first event at Guildford Golf Club couldn’t have gone much better. From the friendly hospitality and scenic surroundings to the quality of the course itself, it was a venue that left a lasting impression on everyone involved.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — we’re already looking forward to returning again soon for more unforgettable Golf Pairs action.
