Chart Hills 2026

A Signature Sir Nick Faldo-designed championship layout, 138 bunkers to navigate (including the legendary 200-yard "Anaconda"), a genuine walk in the footsteps of Legends Tour professionals from just days earlier, and hospitality to match — Chart Hills served up a truly memorable day of Golf Pairs action.

Course Highlights

Nestled in the heart of the Garden of England, Chart Hills is the first Signature Sir Nick Faldo-designed course in Europe. Set across 200+ acres of oak woodland, lakes, and gently rolling terrain, the championship layout challenges golfers of all levels and offers a distinct experience on every hole.

The course itself proved to be a real test, with the bunkers playing a particularly prominent role. All 138 of them — including the famous 5th hole "Anaconda" bunker, which stretches over 200 yards long and is one of the largest bunkers in Europe. Strategically positioned and famously challenging to escape, they demanded accuracy and careful course management throughout the round.

For the professionals on the Legends Tour, this course provided an excellent examination of both skill and strategy. That event had been held here only a few days before our Golf Pairs Tour arrived, meaning today's golfers were walking on the fairways of true Legends. A genuinely special occasion.

Weather Conditions

Great conditions for golf across the day — comfortable temperatures and settled weather that let the course, the challenge, and the field all shine.

Memorable Moments

Best Dressed honours went to Phil Redhead and Daz Liversidge — a properly turned-out pair and a worthy nod for bringing the look to match the occasion.

Away from the action on the course, the hospitality was equally impressive. The halfway hut proved a major highlight — with some genuinely amazing sausage rolls providing a welcome boost during the round. Exactly the sort of quality catering that keeps players refreshed and ready for what the back nine brings.

The day also got off to an excellent start with a great buffet breakfast served before play — a generous and enjoyable spread that set everyone up perfectly for the day ahead.

Tournament Highlights

Some brilliant scoring across the board on a genuinely demanding championship layout — the kind of day where good course management was rewarded and any misjudgement was punished by those famous bunkers.

WHS Leaderboard Winners
