The Tour
There aren't many venues in UK golf that carry the reputation of Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, South Wales. A major championship golf destination and — most famously — the home of the 2010 Ryder Cup, the resort boasts three championship courses: The Twenty Ten, The Roman Road, and The Montgomerie. A properly world-class venue, and one that always makes for a trip to remember.
Weather Conditions
Very hot and dry conditions across all three days — proper firm-and-fast summer golf, with the fairways running for miles and every well-struck tee shot picking up serious extra yardage. Beautiful conditions on the eye, and about as good a stretch of weather as you could ask for on a three-day trip.
Memorable Moments
The moment of the trip belonged to Peter Ratcliffe, who bagged a stunning hole in one on the 6th hole of the Montgomerie. Genuinely one of the great moments of the year — congratulations Peter! 👌⛳💪
For those choosing between the three courses, the standout advice was simple: if you only play one, choose The Twenty Ten. The course with the greatest history and atmosphere, and the chance to walk the same fairways that hosted the 2010 Ryder Cup is genuinely a golfing pilgrimage.
The Roman Road Course
Winners
Huge congratulations to Jagdeep Chandi and Pardeep Chandi, who took the top spot on the Roman Road — a lovely shared-surname double at the top of the leaderboard.
In the runners-up spot were Stu Smith and Luke Leighton — a fantastic effort.

Winners
Huge congratulations to David Spring and Martin Arnold, who took the top spot on the iconic Twenty Ten Course — a Ryder Cup layout and a properly memorable win.
In the runners-up spot were Nick Herbert and Daniel Earnshaw — a fantastic effort on one of the most demanding courses of the trip.

Standout Individual Performances
A few players had genuinely dominant weeks worth flagging:
Dee Pyatt absolutely ran the show in the Ladies' competitions — Ladies' Longest Drive on all three courses, plus a Nearest the Pin on the Montgomerie. A properly sensational trip out.
James Langford matched her double on the men's side, taking Men's Longest Drive on both the Roman Road and the Twenty Ten — genuinely serious form.
And Nathan Davies picked up Nearest the Pin on both the Twenty Ten and the Montgomerie — a properly consistent week with the irons.
Jagdeep Chandi also had a great week — Roman Road winner and Nearest the Pin on the Twenty Ten. A brilliant multi-course performance.
A truly memorable three days at one of UK golf's most iconic venues.
