Under clear blue skies and a gentle, refreshing breeze, golfers gathered for an unforgettable day at Came Down Golf Club. The weather couldn’t have been more cooperative—dry, bright, and comfortably warm—setting the stage for some truly impressive play. Spirits were high as pairs teed off across the rolling fairways, with every golfer embracing the challenge and beauty of one of Dorset’s finest courses.

Founded in 1896, Came Down Golf Club boasts a rich heritage and a design that showcases both strategic thinking and natural beauty. The course, laid out by the renowned J.H. Taylor, is a classic downland layout offering wide, undulating fairways, fast greens, and panoramic views stretching across the Dorset countryside and out to the English Channel. The open terrain rewards accurate shot-making and clever course management, while the ever-present breeze adds a subtle test to every round. It’s a setting that perfectly balances charm and challenge—no surprise it remains a favourite among both members and visitors alike.
