Blairgowrie 2 Days 2026
Share
Two days at one of Scotland's most beautiful inland golfing venues, two contrasting championship courses, some seriously tight scoring across every leaderboard, and a lovely reunion tour storyline running through the trip — the 2026 Blairgowrie 2 Days delivered a truly memorable couple of days.
The Tour
There are few places in inland golf that match the setting of Blairgowrie. With two outstanding championship courses — plus the popular "wee course" that a few of our players used for a warm-up round — the venue's mix of design pedigree, natural beauty, and hospitality makes this trip one of the most popular on the calendar.
Nice to see so many returning golfers at this event too, including a group of 18 former members of Dinsdale Golf Club, which sadly closed earlier this year. They chose Golf Pairs and Blairgowrie for a proper reunion tour — a really lovely story, and it was a pleasure to have them with us.
Day 1 — Blairgowrie (Rosemount Course)
Course Highlights
The Rosemount Course at Blairgowrie Golf Club is a premier championship inland golf course in Perthshire, famed for its stunning setting among pine, birch, and heather. Designed with foundational work by the legendary Dr. Alister MacKenzie (the architect of Augusta National) and finished by James Braid, it's a course with genuine design royalty in its DNA.
Expansive fairways cut through a truly beautiful landscape — praised by both MacKenzie and Tom Morris as one of the most beautiful inland settings in golf. A course that lives up to every ounce of its reputation.
Weather Conditions
Sunny and a pleasant 20°C for most of the day, with a very gentle breeze — genuinely excellent scoring conditions, and the field made the most of them.
Tournament Highlights
Two teams tied at the top of the WHS leaderboard with a superb 47 points — Scott Thomson and Anthony Gribbenjust edging it with a better back nine over David Morrison and Gary McDonald.
The Gross competition was even tighter — three teams tied at the top with 39 points apiece: Alex Carter and Dylan Parker, Neil Harker-Bell and Stephen Hooper, and Dan Downes and Pete Davis. Genuinely elite scoring across the top of the leaderboard.

Day 2 — Blairgowrie (Lansdowne Course)
Course Highlights
Designed by the legendary duo Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas and opened in 1979, the Lansdowne Course stretches over 7,000 yards from the championship tees. Known for being tighter, longer, and more penal than its sibling Rosemount, Lansdowne serves as a proper test of driving accuracy and strategic course management. A serious step up in challenge — and one the field embraced brilliantly.
Weather Conditions
Colder than yesterday, with a few heavy rain showers in the morning that made scoring genuinely difficult. The afternoon starters got the better end of the deal though, with the weather brightening up and giving the later groups a much more pleasant round.
Tournament Highlights
The WHS leaderboard produced another really tight top — three teams tied on 45 points:
- Ben Liddle (4.8) and Dan Thompson (12.4)
- Julie Wyatt (16.5) and David Mann (2.3)
- Valerie McKune (28.6) and David McKune (14.7)
Just behind on 44 points were five further teams — a properly packed leaderboard.
The Gross round of the day was a genuinely outstanding piece of golf from Neil Harker-Bell (+0.1) and Stephen Hooper (7.3) — a stunning 3-under-par 68, built on 15 pars and 3 birdies. That round was enough to see the pair take the Overall Gross title by three clear points.
