Stunning Coastal Golf at Aberystwyth

Set high above the Welsh coastline, Aberystwyth Golf Club once again delivered a memorable day of Golf Pairs action, combining dramatic scenery, challenging conditions, and plenty of entertainment throughout the round.

A Course with Incredible Views

Aberystwyth is renowned for its spectacular coastal views, with golfers treated to panoramic scenery across Cardigan Bay from almost every hole. The elevated layout and exposed setting create a true test of golf, particularly when the wind begins to swirl around the hillside.

Weather & Conditions

Conditions were classic for this part of the Welsh coast — windy throughout the day, but with plenty of sunny spells breaking through to create some stunning moments out on the course.

The ever-changing breeze made club selection tricky and kept players thinking from the first tee to the final green.

Memorable Moments

One of the biggest talking points of the day came on the 15th hole, where the clubhouse was under constant threat from wayward tee shots! Plenty of golf balls found their way in that direction, much to the amusement of those watching nearby.

It was also fantastic to see the club captain enjoying the event and the atmosphere throughout the day, adding to the warm welcome received by all our golfers.

Tournament Highlights

Scoring was incredibly tight at the top, with just fractions separating the leading teams after a fantastic day of competition.
