Epic Links Golf Across Scotland – A 4-Day Showcase of Scenery, Skill & Spectacle

Four days. Four incredible venues. One unforgettable Golf Pairs experience.

From classic Scottish links to world-renowned championship layouts, this event delivered everything you’d expect, stunning scenery, challenging conditions, and some exceptional golf along the way.

Day 1 – Fraserburgh Golf Club (Corbiehill Course)

The week began at Fraserburgh, where golfers were treated to stunning coastal views as they climbed Corbiehill and navigated their way through rolling dunes.

Conditions were sunny with a fresh breeze, though temperatures dropped slightly for the later starters.

There were plenty of memorable moments, including:

  • Daron & Cameron Golding, celebrating Cameron’s 21st birthday

  • James & Duncan Sayce, marking James’ 18th birthday in style

  • A brilliant eagle from Alan Dyerson, holing out from 190 yards with a 7-wood on the par-5 15th

🏆 Winners: Simon Chester & Alex Carter – 47 Points
🥈 Runners-Up: Ross Mackinnon & Chris Martin – 46 Points

🔥 Best Gross: Hugo Jacques & Anton Swemmer – 68 (-2)
(Hugo birdieing the 2nd, 5th, 10th & 17th)

Day 2 – Peterhead Golf Club

Next stop was Peterhead, home to one of the most dramatic stretches in Scottish golf, holes 7–10, set deep within towering dunes.

The weather? Still sunny… but significantly tougher. Golfers described conditions as “brutal”, with strong winds testing even the most experienced players.

The standout moment came from:
Danny Latimer, who made a fantastic hole-in-one on the 176-yard 6th hole

🏆 Winners: Gary Connor & Michael Beamish – 41 Points
(Helped by back-to-back 3s on holes 15 & 16)

🔥 Best Gross: James Martin & Louis Taylor – 72 (+2)

Day 3 – Trump International Scotland (Old Course)

Day 3 saw players take on the spectacular Trump International Old Course, a modern links masterpiece set amongst towering dunes reaching up to 100 feet high.

With warm sunshine and light winds, conditions were ideal, though the course still provided a serious test.

Standout moment:
💥 Tel Reid with a superb eagle on the 349-yard par-4 5th

🏆 Winners: Simon Kirman & Barry Thompson – 48 Points
(A dominant performance, winning by 6 points)

Barry (hcp 21.9) was particularly impressive, making pars on 6 of the back 9 holes to pull clear of the field.

Day 4 – Trump International Scotland (New Course)

The final day brought a fitting finish at the Trump International New Course, recently crowned:
🏆 World’s Best Golf Course 2025
🏆 Europe’s Best New Golf Course 2025

This stunning layout blends coastal dunes, heathland, and wetlands, with dramatic features including infinity greens, ancient burns, and the world’s largest natural sand bunker.

Despite overcast skies and sporadic showers, spirits remained high especially with a surprise Spitfire fly-by at 3pm, adding a truly unforgettable moment to the day.

🏆 Winners: Jason Trueman & Tim Burdin – 43 Points

  • Strong start with a birdie on the par-5 1st

  • Back-to-back birdies on holes 9 & 10 sealed the round

🔥 Best Gross: James Martin & Louis Taylor – 68 (-4)
