  • One of the best and most challenging golf courses in the north of England.

A course characterised by heather, gorse and bilberries and a welcoming atmosphere afforded by members and staff. This course was designed by the renowned H.S. Colt, it is a classic heathland layout that boasts spectacular views and provides a fair test of your game. The Hallamshire Experience is a unique one, with greens that are well known for their speed and consistency. Make sure you start with your brain in gear, as the opening four holes contain three par 4s and a par 3 that mainly plays into the prevailing winds. Remember that the return is where scoring opportunities are usually easier to come by. A truly memorable heathland experience awaits.
  • If you are looking for a stunning landscape and a classically challenging game of golf, Moor Allerton will suit you just right.

The uniqueness of this course stems from its designer and the creation of a friendly and relaxed environment, perfect for a thoroughly entertaining day of golf. The course at Moor Allerton Golf Club is the only course Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed in the UK and blends beautifully with the surrounding West Yorkshire landscape. This classic course has large contoured greens, large teeing areas, boldly shaped bunkers and a few water hazards. The championship course is a combination of the Blackmoor and High circuits. Watch out for the lake, the unforgiving greens, an abundance of bunkers and well protected greens.
  • A layout of rare subtlety and sophistication on moorland, located to the north of the city of Leeds.

Eye-catching and naturalistic-looking bunkers, strategic choices and large, often undulating greens.Alwoodley Golf Club, was founded in 1907 and is officially recognised as one of Britain's finest inland heathland courses. Alwoodley runs almost straight out and back, the inward nine being tougher as most of the holes are played into the fresh winds off the Yorkshire Moors. The turf is fast and firm. Long straight driving and a solid short game will leave you with a good scorecard. However, if you get off the fairway things will not be so pretty – swathes of heather, copses of woodland and some classic MacKenzie bunkering will leave you feeling intimidated and will punish your scorecard in equal measure.
  • This is English parkland at its picturesque best.

It is impressive, tight, with greens to die for. Club selection will probably be the key to success.Fulford Golf Club was originally founded in 1906 by Major WH Key at Water Fulford Hall. The club then moved to its current site in 1935, after the land was identified as suitable for golf development by leading architect and five times Open Champion, James Braid. This course provides a fairly flat, tree-lined parkland, with the main hazards being the challengingly placed bunkers and heather. The well-placed bunkers are a key point of design at Fulford, with accurate tee shots required on almost every hole. This course is kept in brilliant condition and is certainly worth a visit.

CUSTOMERS TESTIMONIALS

Concept is great and everyone was very friendly. Not my best round but really enjoyed the day as a whole. The event was really well ran and the free goody bag was a nice touch. My first golfpairs event But wont be my last.

  • An individual is only eligible to win 1 main prize a year from winning events. Should you win a second event you will be switched with whoever finishes in second place and they will take the first place prize. Vouchers for winning events are non-transferable, non-refundable and can only be used by the winners. What happens if we win an event and qualify via the order of merit leaderboard? Should you win an event and qualify via order of merit, you will then be able to either transfer one pair to recipients of your choice or attend for a second time. An individual is only eligible to win 1 order of merit prize.

  • All are welcome to participate, handicap or not. To win the placed prizes, both you and your partner must have official CONGU handicaps. If you don't have official handicaps, you can either get Golfshake handicaps for free and participate in the Golfshake competition, or if you don't want to do that you can simply participate for fun.

  • There is no handicap limit in any of our competitions since we are highly inclusive and rely on the integrity of the handicap system to ensure a fair competition.

  • Yes up to four weeks before a competition you can pay a deposit of £25 per person to secure your place. This can be done by going through the checkout as normal and on the final page selecting Bank Deposit. Once you have selected bank deposit and reserved your place, please then follow the instructions that are presented to you. This will involve you contacting your bank either via online banking, telephone or branch and setting us up as a payee. Bank details are always here https://golfpairs.com/pay if you lose the confirmation email. Use your order number as reference.

  • Ladies, and mixed pairs can definitely participate, as we are an inclusive tour that welcomes all participants. For safety purposes juniors must be 14+ and have an official handicap and be accompanied by an adult. Regarding courtesy shots, we make all necessary adjustments based on the SSS of the course being played. So if a red tee has a higher SSS than a white tee, those playing from red tees would have handicaps adjusted accordingly.

  • It's not something we offer right now but it is something we are working on with our clubs to potentially offer in the future.

  • Yes you can - we welcome single golfer and we will pair you up. We had runners up in 2020 single golfers at an event who had never met! Just join up and you never know if you can't persuade a partner
