Common FAQs

  • All bookers are contacted approximately 4 weeks before an event via email, at this point we will request tee time preferences and golfer information.

  • Tee times are released 1-2 weeks before the competition. Once they are released we will notify you by email. If you wish to advise us of a tee time preference you must do this in the user registration form you are emailed ahead of the competition.

  • 4BBS played off 90% handicap. This means each golfer plays their own ball, and the better score from the two on each hole counts towards the team’s total.

  • Yes you can join as a single golfer - just change the quantity to 1 when you book, we will then pair you up before we draw tee times. We have many single golfers participate in our competitions.

  • All are welcome to participate, handicap or not. To win the placed prizes, both you and your partner must have official CONGU handicaps. If you don't have official handicaps you have a choice to get Golfshake handicaps for free and participate in the Golfshake competition, or if you don't want to do that, participate just for fun. We verify handicaps of prize winners through our access to central handicap databases for the respective unions, where all CONGU handicaps are logged.

  • There is no handicap limit in any of our competitions since we are inclusive and rely on the integrity of the handicap system to ensure a fair competition.  The average handicap of our winners across the 2019 season was 8.5 - made up of a mix from a scratch winner (with a 3 handicapper) at Princes up to a 21 handicapper winning at Celtic Manor with a 10 handicapper

  • The event will have over £2,000 of prizes to win from Golfbreaks and other sponsors. The main prize is a 3 round 3 night golfbreak to Verdura which can be arranged at your convenience. The prize includes B&B accommodation and golf - it does not include flights or transfers. Dates subject to availability and valid for 12 months after the competition date. Non transferable.

  • Yes up to four weeks before a competition you can pay a deposit of £25 per person to secure your place. This can be done by going through the checkout as normal and on the final page selecting Bank Deposit. Once you have selected bank deposit and reserved your place, please then follow the instructions that are presented to you. This will involve you contacting your bank either via online banking, telephone or branch and setting us up as a payee. Bank details are always here if you lose the confirmation email. Use your order number as reference.

  • Yes of course, we are an inclusive tour who welcomes all participants. For safety purposes Juniors must have an official handicap and be accompanied by an adult.
Regarding Courtesy shots - We make all necessary adjustments based on the SSS of the course being played. So if a red tee has a higher SSS than a white tee those playing from red tees would have handicaps adjusted accordingly

  • Yes you will get a bacon roll and coffee before your round, and a one course meal after your round - choose from a set selection. This is served on a rolling basis so we don't have congregations for social distancing reasons.

  • Yes you can. If you book as a group we will assume you wish to play together unless you tell us you wish to play consecutively. If you have booked separately you must tell us in the form sent to you 4 weeks before the competition who you wish to play with.

  • We are taking many precautions on the day which we have learned since our first event of the season at Woodhall Spa home of England Golf; a very successful event on 3rd July. Registration takes place outdoors ten minutes before tees. We work with the clubs on flow of people at the club, and we have a safe play policy which will be documented for the course which includes no group ball searches, mandatory pick up when not scoring and a host of other rules which will be sent out in advance.
