How can I apply to join your events?

Answer: It’s very easy to sign up for a GPT event – simply check out our events on  www.golfpairs.com and click on the apply link which takes you to our online application form.  Fill out the form, click submit, and follow the instructions for payment

What if I can't use online forms?

Answer: If you can’t work online forms don’t worry, just email us on events@golfpairs.com and we will support you through the application process.

How do I pay for your events?

Answer: You can pay for our events by either direct bank transfer, cheque or by credit or debit card via Paypal (admin charge included in this method).  The details on how you do this can be found by clicking on the PAY link.

When do I need to pay for your events?

Answer: We require payment to confirm booking, but our events stay open for booking until they have been filled even if this is right up to the week before the event.  Remember, an application doesn’t secure your place but payment does.

If I have entered but not paid will you guarantee my place?

Filling in our application form does not trigger entry confirmation, only payment.
As soon as you have completed the application AND paid, your entry will be confirmed.  Once you have completed the application form you have 48 hours to either make a payment or send a cheque.  If 48 hours have elapsed between entry and payment receipt, you may lose your place to someone who enters after this time.

How do you decide which entry takes priority?

We start with date and time of application.  Then you have 48 hours to submit payment.  If payment is not received in 48 hours your application is suspended until payment is received, which could mean someone who has entered after you gets your place.

What format do you play?

GPT events are generally multi-day better ball pairs events played off 9/10 handicap

Do you require a handicap certificate
Although we don’t physically request a certificate, many of our golf clubs do so it’s best to keep one handy.
All our competitors must hold a CONGU (or equivalent depending on nationality) handicap.
We spot check competitors at every event.
Are there prizes included?

Yes we have a great range of prizes on offer at all our events, including at minimum 1st to 4th places every day, and nearest the pin and longest drive prizes.  From 2016 and beyond we will have a fantastic hole in one prize – watch this space.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can view this in our terms and conditions at the bottom of every page.

But in summary, we don’t like punitive cancellation policies, but we do have to protect ourselves from late withdrawals where we may have made commitments to the golf clubs.

90 days plus – Refund in Full less a £20 admin fee

60-90 days – 25% of total cost cancellation fee

30-60 days – 50% of total cost cancellation fee

Less than 30 days – 100% cancellation fee

Do you include any food in your golf days?

Generally we do not include food, we are focused on golf.  However sometimes we do a deal with golf clubs which does include food – we will inform you if this is the case.

Do you arrange accommodation?

Whilst we don’t arrange accommodation for you, at many of our events we do a deal with a local hotel group to ensure our golfers get a good value place to stay.  This will be advertised online on the event page.

How do you decide which golf clubs to select?

Our Director of Golf hand selects each golf club based on a set of carefully considered criteria.  We major on booking out top 100 golf courses in the UK, but we are looking for any great quality friendly golf clubs to join.

I am interested in sponsoring GPT - what options do I have?

We have an exclusive sponsorship deal with Mizuno who are our only golf manufacturer sponsor.

However we are interested in working with other non-competing companies who might wish to use our expanding golf tour to promote their brand.
